Destination: Memphis, Tennessee

Partnership: First Congregational Church's Freedom Journey, Pilgrim House Hostel, MidSouth Peace & Justice Center, HOPE (Homeless Organizing for Power & Equality)
Social Issue: Structure and operation of Grassroots organizations
Structure: Four days, three nights. Road trip with one large University- owned van.
Projects included: Continued work from SSB 2014 in the Washington Bottoms Community Garden with HOPE, phone banking to raise awareness of Amendment One and upcoming voting days, and critical conversations with grassroots organizations of Memphis.
Other activities included: Local BBQ, tour of the National Civil Rights museum, and history of Memphis tour.
